2025 Spring Conference Exhibitor Registration

The Washington State Council for the Social Studies (WSCSS) invites you to join us for the 2025 Spring Conference at the iconic Washington State History Museum in Tacoma! This year’s theme, "Change & Continuity in Social Studies," offers an exciting opportunity for educators to explore the enduring patterns and transformative shifts within the disciplines of Civics, Economics, Geography, History, Art, Science, and Literacy.

Keynote Speaker: Former Representative J.T. Wilcox
Join us for an inspiring keynote by J.T. Wilcox, former House Minority Leader, who will explore the critical role of civic education in navigating change and continuity in our democratic process. You can read more about our keynote speaker here.

You will find dynamic sessions that:

  • Equip educators with tools to teach integrated and inquiry-based lessons.

  • Encourage students to critically analyze patterns of change and continuity in our world.

  • Support professional growth in Civics, Economics, Geography, History, Art, Science, and Literacy.

Registration: Regular Attendees $150, Pre-Service Teachers $50

Breakfast & Lunch: Exhibitor registration includes one light breakfast starting at 8:20 AM (conference begins at 8:50 AM), as well as one catered box lunch (vegetarian & gluten-free options available).If you need additional meal tickets, please use the add-on feature to purchase additional meals. *For registrations placed after March 7th, you will need to bring your own lunch.

Clock Hours: Attendees can earn up to 6 clock hours through participation.

Parking Pass: Enjoy the convenience of complimentary parking at the venue. Attendees will need to print this parking pass and display it in their car.

For Out-of-Town Guests: The Hotel Murano is offering the government rate for the conference weekend. No room block has been reserved, so please make your reservations directly with the hotel. The Hotel Murano is conveniently located just a few blocks from the Washington State History Museum, the conference venue. When making your reservation, please inform the hotel that you are attending the WSCSS Conference at the Washington State History Museum to ensure you receive the government rate.

Refund Policy: The last day we can offer a full refund is Monday, March 10, 2025

*Please note that registration will informally close on March 7th. To ensure we can accommodate everyone, we encourage you to register before this date. We need to submit lunch orders to our caterer, and cannot add orders after March 7th. If you order after the 7th, you will need to bring your own lunch.

Important Note: If you are a school secretary registering attendees or will register attendees other than yourself, please kindly forward your confirmation email and our conference communications to each of the attendees you registered. Our system only records the email that was used to register attendees.
