He will also feature the website BlackPast.org which he founded and demonstrate some of the depth of information available there.

Session 1: Inquiry Techniques for your Classroom

This workshop will provide you with practical ideas to use in your classroom. Centered on student inquiry methods but using Social Studies as the field of questioning this will be a challenging and dynamic session.

Session 2: Librarian Panel

This last session of the day will be a panel with public and school librarians each featuring books and resources for a specific grade level. Each librarian will be paired with a teacher who will give an example of an inquiry lesson based on one of the suggested resources on that grade level.
