Wonderful Washington Teachers,
Don't forget that the National Archives has lots of FREE resources for
you. Today might have been a good day to visit the site and download
one of two Constitution Day lesson plans, for instance.

1) A full-blown lesson plan
http://www.archives.gov/education/lessons/constitution-workshop/index.html

2) A page of ideas for Constitution Day in your classroom at
http://www.archives.gov/education/lessons/constitution-day/

Also, we have been working with the Alaska Network for Understanding
American History (ANUAH) and as a result, we are now offering an online
course (through Alaska Pacific University) about doing historical
research in an archives. It consists of 10 self-paced lessons and 1 day
of archival experience at either Seattle or Anchorage. 1 Graduate
Credit in Education. $90.00. For more information see
http://anuah.pbworks.com/NARA-Online-Course .

We hope to see you and/or your students soon! Carol
