[WSCSS] WSCSS Fall In-Service is coming soon!

Welcome back to a new school year! The cycle of learning is starting again
and it is time to plan to attend the WSCSS Fall In-Service at Edmonds
Woodway High School on October 10, 2009. This year will be another fantastic
in-service with presenters, vendors, and colleagues prepared to help
teachers become even better social studies teachers. The resources, ideas,
and friends at the fall in-service make this the conference to attend.

Meeting up again with old friends at the fall in-service is one of the great
things about this annual event. This year share that experience with a
friend. When you are filling out your registration form, e-mail your friends
and encourage them to come with you! Having a team of teacher (you do not
even have to be from the same district) attend the conference amplifies the
effectiveness of the sessions attended because you can implement and bounce
ideas off other team members as the year goes on. The fall in-service
revitalizes teachers and keeps them up to date on the latest resources
available to teaching professionals. Friends don't let friends stay home!

The Keynote speaker, Helen Thayer, is a dynamic and inspiring adventurer,
explorer and educator. This will be a chance to hear from someone who has
let her curiosity carry her around the globe and who's passion has guided
her to share it with others. This is a great opportunity, don't miss out!
