[WSCSS] Volunteer and get admission to the Puyallup Fair!

The Washington Geographic Alliance is bringing its Giant Map of Washington
to the Puyallup Fair this September 13, 14, and 15 (Sunday, Monday, and
Tuesday). The Giant Map of Washington measures 22 feet high by 32 feet wide
and can be walked on in stocking feet to better learn the geography of our
state.

We are seeking volunteers to welcome Fair visitors to the map; in exchange
for your volunteer services you'll receive free parking and free attendance
at the fair for the day. We'll also make it a top priority to have the map
visit your school.

To volunteer, you need to commit to a three-hour time slot on the Giant Map,
which will be displayed in the Education Pavilion in Booths 6-8 and 13-15
(yes, it takes up six booths worth of space!) Please reply to
president at washgeo.org with the time slots you are available, in order of
preference. Oh, and yes--you can volunteer for more than one time slot :-)
We have Sunday covered; we are seeking volunteers for Monday and Tuesday,
the 14th and 15th. We realize these are school days so we are especially
interested in finding volunteers (perhaps retired or substitute teachers) to
cover the daytime shifts:

Monday, September 14
10 AM -1 PM
1 PM - 4 PM
4 PM - 7 PM
7 PM - 10 PM

Tuesday, September 15
10 AM -1 PM
1 PM - 4 PM
4 PM - 7 PM
7 PM - 10 PM

Thanks,
