[WSCSS] Giant National Geographic Map of North America

[Tim Scharks- Washington Geographic Alliance]

The Washington Geographic Alliance is pleased to announce that the National
Geographic Giant Map of North America will come back to our state to visit
schools this March and is available for request! This is a HUGE
(gymnasium-sized) map covering all of North America, from Panama to the
Canadian Archipelago.

We'll do our best to get the map to your school, of course we are limited to
not being able to have it two places at once and it will take time to ship
from school to school.

If you can take care of the map, make sure lots of students will see it and
we can fit it into our schedule, we'll be happy to pay for all shipping to
and from your school for the map and its activity trunk. To learn more about

To request the map, please download and complete the form available at
www.washgeo.org. There are a few requirements:

1) You must be a current member of the Washington Geographic Alliance;
membership is free and gained by creating an account on the website
www.washgeo.org;
2) Priority is given to those teachers who have completed a Summer Institute
with the Alliance;
3) The applications are due postmarked no later than Friday, January 23.
Applications postmarked after that date will not receive priority in
scheduling.
