The DBQ Project's mission is to "Democratize the DBQ" experience and get students, not just in AP, doing the hard work required by the DBQ. Since it is such a structured program with tons of teacher support, AP teachers also find it useful and so do many Middle School teachers. It just depends on how much time teachers want to spend on the exercise. All of the materials are written at two ability levels as well.
