[WSCSS] Why unsubscribing?

I am curious about something here. The first of the requests to
unsubscribe and several subsequent requests said, "Please remove me as
well, from your listserve list as per required legislative guidelines."
I wonder what these guidelines say and why the writers feel it necessary
to add that to their request to unsubscribe. Is there some underlying
point being made? If so, what is it?


Keith's point here is important. Unfortunately, this is a common
problem on listservs when people sign up or are added to a listserv by
others. People don't tend to save the documentation about unsubscribing
so they send a message to the entire group without realizing the
problems they are setting in motion. I have been in other listservs
where this conversation goes on for weeks. Hopefully that won't  happen
here.

1. Go to http://wscss.org/mailman/listinfo/wscss_wscss.org.
2. Look at the bottom of the page for the "Unsubscribe" button
3. Enter your email address and hit the button.

So please, no more unsubscribe messages sent out to hundreds of people.
