University.

Keynote presentation from Lorraine McConaghy, historian at the Museum of
History and Industry, Seattle. Dr. McConaghy will take us on a virtual

Find answers to several provocative questions from well-informed presenters:
How do I fit a yurt into my classroom?
Where do I find sultry, secret primary sources for teaching Washington
State History?
What is the Federal Grand Jury and why are they meeting right here in
Seattle? (sh, this one is classified information, please bring photo ID
to attend)
What is a Classroom Based Assessment and why do I care?
How can a museum setting inspire integrated social studies?
What do kites have to do with social studies?
Why teach about Canada? Aren’t they “just like us”?
But I do art on Friday, how can it be part of social studies on Thursday?
There’s a Washington State Library? Where is it? Can I take a field trip
there?
