[WSCSS] Grant opportunity for Social Studies Teachers

The Washington Society of the Colonial Dames offer history teacher
scholarships in four areas:  (1) continuing education relating to American
history; (2) curriculum development; (3) travel and tuition to attend
educational seminars relating to American history; and (4) teacher
enrichment projects/programs. Teachers may apply in more than one category.
Since 1998, the Washington Society of the Colonial Dames of America has
granted over $200,000 in scholarships to Washington state history teachers.
The scholarship application deadline: March 1, 2007. Please visit their
website to get grant forms and further information. There are examples of
projects other grant winners have done as well.
