[WSCSS] Service Learning Symposium February 23

The 5th Annual Service Learning Seattle Symposium
 
will be held on February 23, 8am-3pm at the
 
John Stanford Center for Educational Excellence - Seattle Public Schools
 
on Third Avenue South and South Lander, Seattle
 
The schedule includes sessions on:
 
-        Community based programs and school partnerships
-        Service Learning for elementary and secondary schools
-        GLE alignments for Service Learning projects
-        Culminating Projects
-        Youth Voice
-        Reflection and visioning strategies
-        How to link Service Learning to global issues
 
Participating groups include City Heroes/City Year, King County
Extension 4-H, United Way, YMCA, CommonAction, Facing the Future and
OneWorld Now.

The event (including continental breakfast and lunch) costs $10 if you
register by February 9. Clock hours available for teachers. The
symposium is open to teachers anywhere, not only in the Seattle Public
Schools.
