The National Archives in Seattle has a couple of workshops coming up in
September that may be interesting for teachers and students alike.

Both workshops are on Saturday, September 8th at our facility (6125
Sand Point Way NE, Seattle, WA).

1) 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Finding Hidden Clues in Your Family Photos: A basic workshop covering
historic photograph techniques, dress styles, and other clues in
photographs that enable you to date and identify time periods and
subjects. Also included is a short demonstration of places on the web
where family photographs can be found.

2) 1:30 PM - 4:00 PM
Citing Primary Sources: An overview of ways to record sources, why you
need to document, and a presentation of the best manuals and articles
online. Additionally, some of the problems in documentation will be
presented with possible solutions.

Workshops are $10 (donation) ... Reservations strongly recommended.
Always plenty of free parking.

Reserve your spot at 206-336-5115 or seattle.archives at nara.gov
